I lifted this list from Southern Review of Books from Anvil Publications. Though promotional in nature, there were some interesting marketing tips in this review.

Hmm. Thinking. Oh, I know one. The killer in John D. MacDonald's novel, The Executioners.
In Raymond Chandler's The Big Sleep, the gambling kingpin's muscle is a cruel, cold-blooded killer named Canero (sp?). Actor Bob Steele did a great job in the old movie with Bogart, too. A crazy, inhuman look in his eye. Very scary.
I think "Big Brother" or "Volderant" are excellent choices. How to you fight back against a non-entity.
