Okay! Everyone is back at work and sneaking a peek at their favorite blogs. Here's hoping mine is one of them. Several writers have asked me about workshops lately. Here's my favorite...
Writers Retreat Workshop in Marydale, Kentucky in late May/early June is ten days of great instruction by wonderful people in a learning environment on YOUR material at a great price.

Looking for witticism's this morning? Go away. It's hard to be witty when your sweetie rushes into the bedroom and yells, "The car won't start," and you have to stumble out of a dream starring Jane Seymour from the bond movie into a 21 degree morning (hey, that's cold for central Carolina) and figure out why. Nothing like a nice below-freezing morning to finish off a weak battery.
Here's my vote for WRW - I'll be there in May, and hope to see old friends and new there. It's a great chance to learn and write and hang out with other writers - a satisfying break for us normally solitary folkses. And Marydale is a beautiful, peaceful haven. Hope to see you there, TFA? Rick?
Alas, Beth, unless my lottery ticket is a winner, I will probably not be in attendance. I will, however, send 200 or so somethings to remember me by. ;-)

No, tequila will not warm the battery, but it could warm you and your wife up while you wait for the tow truck. Or--you could check the battery's model number--and run to Sears on foot.

As for the car saga, when I finally went to look at the car. I noticed it was in drive. You can't start an automatic with it set in drive. No need to buy a battery. Whew!
